Stokesley Rotary’s 2019 Walk For Water following the Teesdale Way exceeded it’s £5,000 target by raising £12,500. This amount was doubled by the 'Big Give' Charity so we were able to donate £25,000
In 2019, Stokesley set a target to raise £5000 for Village Water, but we exceeded this target and with the help of the 'Big Give' charity we were able to donate £25,000 to Village Water.

Do I have to do the whole walk?
No you can participate for as many days as you want and do just half a day if that is your limit! We’ve subdivided the route into manageable stages of 5-10 miles per day. You can join us for half a day, a full day or stay with us every step of the 60-mile way!
When are we doing it?
Saturday September 6th to Thursday September 11th 2025.
Why are we doing it?
To raise funds for Village Water (www.villagewater.org) to provide clean water, sanitation, and hygiene facilities for schools in Mozambique and Zambia.
Funds raised will establish sustainable water sources, hygiene programs, and clean toilet facilities. This initiative is a step towards lasting change, offering these students a healthier, safer, and brighter future through education.
Can I take part?
Yes – anyone aged 16 or over who enjoys walking can take part
Can I bring my dog?
No – dogs are not allowed on this walk for practical reasons.
Is there a charge?
Yes – we will ask for a fee of £10 per day or half day, up to a maximum of £30, so if you join us for 4, 5 or 6 days the fee remains £30.
Do I have to get sponsorship?
No – but we have an ambitious target of raising £12000 so hope that everyone taking part will try to raise at least £100.
You will receive a sponsorship form once you have registered to start collecting those important sponsors.
